LE BOURDON Le bourdon est l’un des plus importants pollinisateurs avec l’abeille en se nourrissant de nectar et en récoltant le pollen pour nourrir ses larves. Il vit aussi au sein d’une colonie qui peut compter jusqu’à 400 membres et qui organise son activité en faisant preuve d’une intelligence collective.
Ce végétarien trapu, qui présente une pilosité importante mesure généralement entre 6 et 25mm. A l’instar de l’abeille, le bourdon (femelle uniquement)ne pique que s’il se sent en danger.
Ils sont extrêmement importants pour notre écosystème parce qu’ils sont de grands pollinisateurs.
